Registration Fee

Registration Fee – There is a $50 one time registration fee. All fees are non-refundable, including tuition, registration, exam, recital, performance,  and costume fees.

Tuition

**Contact us for tuition information at info@artofkathak.com. Please note, tuition for Private Classes is different than tuition for the General Classes.

• Class offerings are Kathak, Bhangra, Bollywood, and Performance Group.

• Tuition is an monthly amount for which an invoice will be emailed. A $25 late fee will be added to all tuition payments not paid by the 1st of each month. If payment is not paid by the 1st of the following month, that class spot may be given to the next student on the waiting list.

• Tuition is not refunded for missed classes, however it can be prorated if we are notified the next month's invoice is issued.

• Tuition is not charged for holidays.

• Art of Kathak will send statements via email to delinquent or problem accounts.

• Accounts that are not reconciled by the 1st of the following month will result in the student(s) being dropped from class. Reconciled accounts will have an opportunity to re-enroll in classes; however the desire to do so does not guarantee that the same class/schedule will be available. A re-enrollment fee of $25.00 will apply.

• Monthly Payment Option: Fees must be paid through Zelle in order to secure your placement in desired classes. Monthly tuition payments will be due on the 1st of each month for the current month’s tuition, unless otherwise stated.

• Yearly Payment Option: 5% discount is deducted for all students who pay yearly. Discount does not include recital, performance, or costume fees.

Late Fees

Studio Etiquette

• Parents and students are expected to be respectful to the instructors, other students, and parents at all times.

• Students and parents are asked to clean up after themselves and respect all studio property.

• There is no running, playing, or shouting allowed in the studio. 

• Gum or candy is not allowed in class

• Phones must be silenced prior to entering class

Class Observation

• Parents, siblings, and observers are not permitted in the class/studio at any time. Students need to pay full attention.

Studio Closings

• We will be operating on the Fulton County Public School calendar, and therefore have similar school closing.

Missed/Make-up Classes

• Students are welcome to schedule a make up class if they miss a class, depending on instructor's availability. 

• Make up classes will be conducted over Zoom or at the Lawrenceville location.

• Maximum 2 make up classes permitted per student per semester.

Dress Code

• Kurti and leggings are required for class. Kathak students are required to wear ghungroo relevant to class level,.

• Students are not to wear jeans, skirts, shorts, dresses (without leggings), crop tops, or tank tops to class.

• Students can also wear a comfortable shirt, that will  not show skin when they dance.

• If a student is not dressed appropriately for class, they will not be permitted to participate.

Performance Team

• This is an optional activity and requires the payment of a costume and fee for practice sessions. 

• The performance team(s) will have opportunities to represent Art of Kathak and perform a learned choreography at events around Atlanta. 

• Fees for Performance Team and costume are non-refundable.

Recital

• This is an optional activity and requires the payment of a costume and recital fee. 

• All Kathak, Bollywood, and Bhangra students are invited to perform in our annual recital. 

• The purpose of our annual recital is to showcase our student’s progress for the year for parents, family, and friends. 

Costumes

• The costume and recital fee will be calculated each year. 

• The fee covers costumes, theater rental, backdrop rental, lighting, programs, and teachers. 

• Additional costumes will be an additional fee. 

• This fee will be due in November. 

• All costume and recital fees are non-refundable. 

• No student will receive a costume until fee is paid and tuition is current. 

• If fee is paid after due date, there will be a $20.00 late fee added for each costume. If paid after December there will be a $25.00 late fee added for each costume.

Costume, Recital, and Performance fees are non-refundable. 

BVDU Exams

Exam payments are made the Bharati Vidyapeeth University exam portal. Fees for examinations are separate from Tuition.
